The club has access to a number of well qualified coaches who offer their time and expertise on a volunteer basis. The coaches are assigned to designated squads and have the confidence of the club's management committee to help members achieve their goals in the sport.

Head coach is Peter Howard, twice an Australian U23 team coach and regular coach on Queensland teams for the past 12 years. He has been taking Brisbane & GPS rowers to National and State titles since 1998.

Other high performance coaches are Pete Hicks, and Courtney Talbot.

Pete has worked successfully with the club's U17 Nationals squad since 2007 and graduated to the U19 program last year to succeed Cameron Kennedy. Pete was appointed Rowing Queensland's Passport coach for this season, helping selected school leavers make the transition to club rowing.

Courtney is a former club rower with Brisbane & GPS and also coaches at Brisbane Girls' Grammar and Brisbane State High School in the BSRA competition.

Masters coach is Liz Ralston, a former Queensland Youth Cup coach and presently a Queensland Masters team coach. She brings expertise as a former coach with the club's high performance squad and as a school coach to our senior members.

The club's Junior Development Squad coaching panel is headed by Jeff Webb, a former State lightweight double sculls champion and successful Masters rower. He is assisted by Bob Alexander, a former Australian single sculls champion and National representative and one of Queensland's most respected rowing authorities, Queensland Masters single sculls champion Karen Dobeli, BSRA coaches Joe Pattison and Michael Malakellis

The lead coach for the club's Learn to Row program is Andrew McNicol, a respected coach at GPS boys and BSRA schools and still active as a club level Masters rower.
